Who is Praying for You?

Years ago my mentor asked, “Who is praying for you?” to which I replied, “I think several people.”  With pen and paper in hand, he said “Share their names with me.”  Seeing me struggle, he suggested I ask at least one person per day to commit to pray for me.  And the next time we met, he wanted their names.  To this day, I am privileged to have dear friends really praying for me, some of whom have been praying on that same day for many years!

I suggest you do the same.  Build a serious prayer team.  Ask at least one person per day to intercede to God on your behalf and offer to do the same for them.

The apostle Paul tells about a man named Epaphras who was a prayer warrior for his friends.  Paul said, “He always strives earnestly for you in his prayers…he has deep concern for you.”  (Colossians 4:12-13)

Imagine having a core group of men or women like Epaphras earnestly going before God for you.

The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” (James 5:16b)

On a personal ministry note, will you consider praying for this ministry as we are on the front lines of evangelism and disciple-making?  It would be an honor for us to reciprocate and pray for you.  Simply reply to this email and we will add you to the prayer team and you will receive monthly prayer requests and updates, and be given the opportunity to let us know how to pray for you.

God is building an awesome network of individuals who are committed to pray for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.  We long to see the lost found and disciples made!

“You can do more than pray after you have prayed, but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed.” (S.D. Gordon)
